still in north carolina. ill be back tuesday morning. we had originally scheduled this trip to visit my grandpa with cancer, but he passed away before we came up. everybody loved and respected him so much here. he lived a long life. he fought in the pacific front of WWII but was injured on Iwo Jima. he was in a foxhole with his best friends and a mortar hit the center and was the only one that survived. I remember all the stories he used to tell me of when he was in the war and when he was a kid.
this vacations felt so long. I dunno what it is, I guess its all the traveling. im glad though. although vacations are never long enough. finally saw snow again, too. its been like 9 years.
i saw the biggest privately owned estate in the US today. something like 243 bedrooms and 45 bathrooms. its called the biltmore estate. this vacation was really needed. I did so much stuff, especially the second week up here. I wanna spend less time worrying about school stuff and just getting it done.
