Halloween in Salem is coming closer and closer. It's like this low drone at the start of the month and gets louder and louder with the influx of tourists to the area. It feels a little like living within a carnival this month.
I have been
rehearsing for my upcoming show next month. I'll be performing 2 or maybe 3 new songs that will be on the upcoming album. I have been humming them in my mind on a daily basis which either means I practiced them so much they are imprinted in my brain or they might have a nice hook. If you are in the area I can't tell you what a fantastic deal it is. The tickets are only $5 for three bands. That's $1.66 for a live band playing 45 minutes of music. All the bands playing that night I guarantee will one day cost a lot more to see at larger venues.
Speaking of music this album is shaping to be really weird. I honestly think anyone will like at least one of the songs on it because I am spanning across so many different genres of music. I am going under the notion that the album format is dead and singles are back...
Florence & the Machine just released their album "Lungs" in stores in the United States. Good God! that woman can sing. She is like
Kate Bush meets
Janis Joplin with
Roxy Music interlaced in it.
