It’s Saturday morning and I am drinking freshly ground vanilla coffee.
The pre-production work for the music video “Babylon Train” is coming along well. I still have one actress left to cast for it. I hope shooting date of it goes well. I purposely made it as simplistic shoot, unlike the previous one, because I don’t want a production that lasts for a year again.
I must confess I like directing.
I saw Tori Amos in concert this past week. It was held at the Bank Of America Pavilion by the waterfront. It was about 95 degrees that night but I still enjoyed the show. Her performance had a lot of crazed energy in it that reminded me a little of Janis Joplin.
I watched the movie Coraline again last night and I adore the music for it so much. The composer Bruno Coulais is a genius.
My friend Mike pointed me out to a 12 year old director,
Emily Hagins, that did a
full-length feature zombie film. Which is a huge amount of work even for an adult let alone for a 12 year old girl. There was a
documentary done on her called Zombie Girl which talks about the making of the film. There is hope for today's youth :)
