Who: Canada and America
What: sister times. possibly fashion.
Where: America's place, 1924

After a nice long day of travelling, during a year that wasn't going too hideously just yet, Canada was more than content to curl up in America's living room with a book (French, and just a little bit risqué, the sort of thing France recommended and then she pretended she had no interest in, even if she did) and her bear sitting on her feet, and her sister nearby. For the few years after the war she had spent pointedly and coldly ignoring her only neighbour, it hadn't taken her long to warm up, not after that slight acknowledgement of her proper nationhood the year before. Leaving England out of negotiations, even if it was only over fish, meant a lot for her. She didn't want to leave England, not at all, but she wanted- no, she needed to be recognized as her own country, if only by the people that really mattered to her.

Thoroughly kicking butt earlier in the year when France had hosted the Games hadn't hurt matters, either. Could a mere colony beat everyone that smoothly at the ever-so-important sport of hockey? She thought not.

But this wasn't as exciting as treaties or hockey or proper international relations at all, just two sisters spending a week together. Whether this actually worked as a calm, quiet time or not was another story entirely.
