Life As It Is.

People at times ask me for advice on life in itself, and though I'm not the best person to come forth to, I do give them advice that attempts to soothe their troubled thoughts. And if they press on just enough, I'd give them my opinions on life itself too, although that in itself is a rare occasion. Very rarely do I give people my tuppence on life's complexities, and my take on life's unsolvable philosophies.

The thing is, when I'm not fretting over missed questions in exams, I display quite a cool demeanour. Like I'm a surfer dude, without a care in a world. Often I could be seen tropical punch in one hand, back of my head in the other, and be caught saying, "Just chill, man." Perhaps this is why from the outside I'm seen as shallow. For apparently I care little about the ongoings around me, and that all I care about is my social circle and the interests that make up my personality.

Fact is, I'd given up on it a long time ago. And you could too, if you want to. It makes you a happier person to forget all the shit in the world and just go ahead and get yourself a frollicking good time.

Sure, children die in the Middle East daily, and in Rwanda tens of thousands of people get killed. Surely you can't turn the other cheek at that. But then again, on the flipside, what good is hushing and gushing about it anyway? Has the badgering and serial condemnation of the United Nations senior members done anything about to stop the killing? What chance do you have?

The best thing we can do is be grateful that yes, while the other person owns more dosh than you do, you're not a statistic laying lifeless on a war-torn street.

So just chill, have a sundae, have a juice, have a cookie from Sainsbury's have a snog, have whatever you want. For you never know when that Mazda's gonna come round the corner at 70kmh while you're walking home in the cold dark night.
