Tech support in my sleep.

The coolest thing happened yesterday morning.
I crashed over at Ben's, and his dad was on the phone with tech support that morning. I was wavering in withdrawal-sleep, occasionally being started from the dead-deepest depth but never breaking the surface of consciousness. That means to say, I didn't consciously note any dialogue of the telephone call. But I dreamed thus: of saying to his dad, "You need to click the big button in Internet Explorer or Mozilla to make it your default browser," then of saying to Ben "your dad's an idiot" and his father replying "no, I'm not."
When I awoke, the call was still ongoing. I began to listen carefully, then I began to laugh hysterically. The problem Ben's dad had been having was, every time he'd click a link in a chat window, he received an error message saying that Safari could not open. Safari is a web browser. Safari was not installed on the system, but had once been and had been the default. Ben's father's problem was solved by setting IE or Firefox as the new default.
He later complained that he'd been on the phone with tech support for two hours. I burst out laughing. Benjamin said, "Emily solved your problem in her sleep." He said, "Good for her; she should have told me." I said, "I tried, but I don't think I said it out loud!"
