Home again!

Oh, I've had a wonderful weekend. Three days of perfect relaxation. Sun, wind, water. Mh. Revival of my childhood.

Poke me to post more tomorrow. I already have half an entry lying around somewhere, just gotta finish it and am too tired right now.

In the meantime, today. I didn't come home yesterday evening, because I needed a document from health insurance (I'm a student and under 25, so still insured over my father, meaning at his insurance, which is of course in Konstanz, where he lives, and now here in Freiburg) that I hadn't gotten when I arrived last week. Stupid office hours. Well, luckily I have no courses Monday morning, so I stayed a night longer, went to their office right when they opened this morning, got my document (or at least something I hope will suffice. The guy behind the desk seemed to be slightly confused. he had to retype it three times, and even then he mixed up my and my father's names. But I had to catch my train, and it does have both names on it, as well as the insurance's), and just about caught my train.

I then had my mp3-player run out of power after the first ten minutes of the trip. *headdesks* Spent the rest of the time with pen and paper (and realised I'm not used to writing anything but notes or postcards on paper anymore. No deleting, no dragging, no copy&pasting. But putting arrows and asterisks everywhere has something of creative chaos).

Left the last train around noon-ish to schlepp my backpack home. Ten minutes can be astonishingly long when it's 30°C.

Finally here, I dropped my luggage, plugged in the laptop, and disappeared into for a quick shower before uni. *smiles* Mh, water.

Huh? Oh, right. On with the entry.

Then I had just enough time to start my Doctor Who download and read the new Subject: Kamid email(Kamid el-Loz is where our excavation in Lebanon takes place). The gist was pretty much "Hey, we are in a hurry right now to get everything done because we are LATE, people, LATE, and you should have given us your documents for forwarding this morning, which you didn't, you slowcoaches! Luckily for you we got an extension until tomorrow, so come by tomorrow morning and give us your papers, or you won't get any money!" Gee, we are late? My, I never would have known. I thought we always got the okay from the DAI this late in the year. *shakes head*

But since by then I had to hurry to catch the train to the city and go to uni I didn't have any time to get worked up.

Uni itself is not really noteworthy, nothing important or interesting. *shrugs* I got a headache because both girls were hurrying through their talks, throwing details over details at us and not once actually pointing at their powerpoints and telling us "See, here.", so it was hard to follow what they were saying.

So, long day, tired dPK. And despite that, still relaxed and happy. Yay for childhood revival weekends on Lake Constance!

Doctor Who now.

And remember, poke me. I should get a longer entry up tomorrow evening.

uni, rl
