So after 3.5 weeks, finally got back this past Tuesday night.
After PA, went to Chicago with one of my favorite buddies, LCH. Woohoo. Lots of fun, and lots and lots of walking. Walked all over the place, at least 2-3 miles on Sunday and 5-6 miles on Monday. Yikes. Weather wasn't too bad, quite pleasant actually - we were lucky since we just missed the heat wave *whew*. It was still hot mind you.
Some highlights:
1. Got to finally see a show, Tony & Tina's wedding, which wasn't too bad. I liked it, it was interactive and and funny. They even gave us food, and you could tell the cast really enjoyed themselves and wanted to get to know all of the people.
2. Rode the "L" as in elevated. Great public transportation system, although I really wouldn't want to ride it at night...I would imagine it to be scary when you got off, LOL.
3. Meet a Chicago Greeter and walked around too, got to know the history of the Chicago fire and that Chicago means Smelly Onion in Native American tongue because Chicago used to be a marsh of onions that, well, smelled.
4. Got to finally eat Chicago deep dish pizza, it was good - altough wasn't quite authentic as it was made in a chain resturant. Still very good.
5. walked around the open market on Sunday, learned that Spanish is the main language and when you don't know how to speak it, you don't get fed (LOL).
6. And of course seeing LCH since I only see her like once a year (maybe twice if I get really lucky, LOL).
