I am in the middle of doing a new research project on the use of Oriental Rugs in European SCA period paintings, and I had one of those really awesome research moments. You know the one when you are going down one path and you find that the path intersects 3 other paths that you are interested in ... ALL AT ONCE!
It's like a little nerdy mental orgasm! Or... is that TMI?
Anyway.... So hunting down the writings of Lauren Arnold (rugs) I found this:
Silk Road Journal Volume 6 No 2 and I found an article about an archeological dig in Korea with some images of crowns from the Silla Dynasty that blows my mind and re-invigorates other area of research for me that has been on hold... (crowns... shamanism).
And then I saw a reference to the Parthian Shot, and I wanted to make sure that
keshwyn and
littlest_viking and all the other archers on my friends list saw it. (page 9!)
*happy sigh*
