Way to go, Portugal!!
Last night I worked overtime at office to past 1am, exhausted. Monica stayed around too, watching Wimbledon live... I managed to get the main part of the task covered, and then I got home at a quarter to 2am to get ready for the 2:45am kickoff of Portugal-Holland.
I still wasn't sure which team should I support. Gomes wasn't among the starters, but Van der Sar somehow looked dreadful, so I decided to doze off for about 15 minutes. *lol* Well, when I re-opened my eyes, the match started to look really interesting!! Portugal was playing a good game, and Figo ended up to be Man of the Match though IMHO he still reminds me of a rhino or hippo... >__<
It was 2-1, but all the goals were by Portugal, and the Portugal GK Ricardo did quite a wonderful job!! Gomes got to play during the last part of 2nd half so basically he didn't do anything much. After the match ended, the Portugal team was celebrating. Cristiano Ronaldo should have learnt a lesson that you're only supposed to remove your shirt for celebration AFTER a match... He got a yellow card when he celebrated his goal in the 1st half by taking his shirt off. Everyone was hugging Figo... Rui Costa's eyes looked really pretty, while Gomes just looked like a big kid.
It's a good game!! Now I shall be looking forward to seeing tonight's Czech-Greece. I hope both would be able to display their best!! :D)))
(Btw, the Swedish referee Anders Frisk strangely reminds me of Modern Talking...)
