It's now reached episode 8 of
Doctor Who S3 already. Nice nowadays there'd always be a Doctor Who episode to go with my Sunday, and today it's especially great since it happens to be my b-day as well.
Okay, right, so that isn't Doctor Who at all. It's Sir Hugh Laurie, who's made an OBE by the Queen only recently, in
House M.D., which is probably the only American TV drama that I watch nowadays. I know I did watch briefly S1 + S2 of
Boston Legal, but that was for James Spader, so it shouldn't count, even though I admit I wouldn't have started to watch House M.D. if not for Hugh Laurie...
And now it's indeed Doctor Who. Happy that I managed to get my hands on a copy of SFX May issue, which is already sold out in the UK probably due to the fact that it includes a free official Doctor Who sticker book giveaway. So I decide to take a snapshot of it alongside the lovely copy of Doctor Who magazine (a gift from a great pal) + the SFX Collection Doctor Who Ultimate Guide, to make it memorable for this not particularly special day, just for the heck of it.
Yesterday
jessica420_80 took me to see "
Zodiac" as part of a b-day treat, which I enjoyed quite a bit. It's a very tight-written film with a lot of facts woven in, very solid and gripping too. I wanted to give it an 8 out of 10, but ended up giving it a 7 because of how Jake Gyllenhaal's character had looked exactly the same from year 1969 to 1991... Apart from him, and maybe Chloë Sevigny too, everything else in the film was just great!!
Just am really thankful for the birthday treats that popped up here and there throughout this month. Life wouldn't be worth it if not for those spices + sparks now, would it?? :)
