I have a tendency to write porn in a dark room. Ideally, while lying on my back in bed with my laptop propped against my knees.
The problem arises when I get so caught up in the story that I forget which room I'm in.
In other words, I just reached out to put something on Roy's bedside cabinet. Which isn't in the same place as my bedside cabinet.
