Rather than going for a Word of the Day, I opted for The Macquarie Dictionary Word of the Year for 2007

pod slurping
noun the downloading of large quantities of data to an MP3 player or memory stick from a computer.
It's not the indignity of being caught out when he should've been watching for every and any possible threat.
Nor the injustice of being injured not during an active hunt, but rather on a "simple information gathering exercise - in, download, out - no problem". Yes, his own stupid idea.
It's not even the embarrassing fluorescent green of the melted Slurpee that fell from a ridiculous height, slimed through his hair, made him "scream like a girl", trip backwards and slide across the floor.
What really gets him is his brother's barely contained laughter, badly disguised as exasperation.
"Dude, seriously?"
