To qoute They Might Be Giants, "You're older than you've ever been...and now you're even older."
In two weeks, Friday the 18th of September, I will be having a party at my place to celebrate having survived another year from the last time I celebrated such a thing. It will officially start 7:00pm but people are welcomed to show up earlier, like 5:30 or 6:00pm if they want. It’s just I do not plan on having the food ready until 7pm and that will also be the time that my little one (Nick - 4yrs old) will be whisked away by the grandparents. Also, if you want to see him do show up early since he will be leaving around 7pm. You can bring your little ones if you want but note the charming Nick will not be there long to entertain us.
On the agenda for the party is hitting each other with foam swords for as long as daylight permits, playing the hell out of the Xbox 360 game Rock Band, and maybe some other games such as Legend of the Five Rings, Magic the Gathering, party games like Apples to Apples, and making puppets for the upcoming film contest I’ll be entering. If you have a favorite game feel free to bring it. So if you have always wanted to make a puppet here is your chance. There is certainly enough room that there can be multiple activities going on at once.
So if you are free that evening and would like to come hang out with me please do. Contributing to the food pile would be nice but certainly not a requirement. I’ll be providing some beverages and beer brats. RSVP-ing is not necessary but will help me know how much too make.
