Forgotten Paths Sporking. Chapter 3 -- Lazy Smiles

Jul 05, 2009 21:39

Har har.

How could it look jumping on the road?

Really stupid. Nevertheless, I reacted quickly:

“Perhaps, depending how much time you spent in Hoenn or before the TV.”

“Yes, you must be Mark, Eastwind,” She gave a forced laugh “one of the Hoenn trios.”
Obviously not charismatic. Why is she a reporter?
“Foursome now, but yes.”
Foursome?! That’s just NASTY!
I said quickly, pointing my eyes on the glass roll, she widened her already wide purple eyes, questioning quickly:

“Oh, you are about to enter your answer?”

How did you know…?
Sarcastic mental rambling is sarcastic.
“Hey, Mark, listen could you do me a favor?”

-“Um, sure.”

“Could you be the announcer instead of me? You are famous in here; most people here are from Hoenn or Kanto.”
At least that made sense.
I did not need a year to decide

“Yeah, that will be cool,” I replied enthusiastically, just thinking that my friends will see me in a new light.
Under the spotlight!!
Following that, she led me up the stairs, directly behind the glass roll, I slid my friends entries and walked behind the stand.

“Welcome ladies and gentlemen, my name is Mark Eastwind and I will be the announcer for this evening.”

Once people turned from their tables, and saw me, they exploded in applause, some whistling.

I always knew I had it in me for showbiz.
So…cheesy…
I turned my eyes to my friends, expecting them to be applauding, but to my great annoyance, their hands rested in their pockets, giving me lame smiles.
