Death has its charm. - Twilight Review

Feb 13, 2009 14:25

So..*Lowers head in shame*

I bought Twilight. But not the book; an application so I can read it discreetly.

And I also understand why a lot of girls like it. Relating to a miserable, broken-down, moody, still-on-the-will average girl with no romantic love-past in a new world to themselves? It's not so bad.

I also understand why they relate her to J.K.Rowling. They both have that...vaguely intruiguing style. Damn, I spelled it wrong again.

Regardless, I've read three-fourths.

And I'm amused. I'm not dizzy from the romance (strange enough), and I'm actually enjoying the fight/hunt thing.

I was wondering when the meat will come in...I liked that part when I had to do deductions about the Vampire part.

I found it unusual for a vampire to not come at day, if the sun thing was a 'myth', according to Edward. I then understood it when he was pulling off a sparkly display.

"Vampires don't sparkle!"

xD

Regardless of how 'special' it sounded in the context, it was downright funny to me. Sparkling? ROFL

I was sort of bored until the baseball thing came up. I'm not a sucker for soap operas, so I was wondering when we'll get some action.

Edward sounded like a moody bitch at the beginning of the book...but it's understandable why. I don't know why there aren't any mentions of color-changing eyes anymore.

Maybe the author forgot...sort of like my problem with Mark and his copyright tendecy.

The description is sort of lacking...I hate it when she keeps her eyes glued on Edward all day. (Bella). It gets very boring later on.

It's as if she's after his face at the beginning. Probably she is.

Psychology time!

How I see Bella's relationship with Edward is sort of...her looking at a more motherly-then-girlfriendy approach. Where she tends to his feelings by feeding them. He gets pissed and becomes all bizatchy again.

And he keeps getting her dizzy and intoxicated. It seems part of the vampire transformation process is becoming beautiful, apparently. Death has its charm, alright.

I couldn't help thinking that in mid-book, the story was not becoming a story as much as a love-wet diary. I'm not the most romantic person on the planet, but love mentions everyday takes away from the atmosphere.

Isn't love that rare, elusive fruit everyone undermines or glorifies? It's not rare here.

I also couldn't help thinking that we needed a vampire slayer badass chick or something, to blow Edward's face out.

Just my DarkPsychicDreamsBloodStuff inner side speaking.

Although I didn't finish the book yet, I really wanted some action...the story completely removes the mysterious side of vampires and yet keeps their savagery, by making them charming, and revealing everything mid-book. WTB more mystery. PST.

I love the mystisism in which the Blacks talked about...the cold ones. But that atmosphere was short, and it disappeared instantly. We're playing with clear cards now...I liked them more upside.

And Edward is sort of lame at parts...when he pulls off crap.

Forget what I just said. I'm just jealous.

What? I didn't say anything. ^_^

No, I AM jealous.

Ehh...don't listen to me.

Regardless.

This story would've been way better if the Cullens had more things to say. My feeling is that this whole book is a prologue, in which after is a huge fight between the human world and the va--

Sorry...I forgot what genre this is.

I shouldn't expect out of the boundries. This story genre is romance and stuff.

i still would've wanted some fights...that last for more then one or two seconds...please

Anyway.

I know why there are also a lot of fan-fictions going on this story thing. The possibilies are endless! One of your friends is in fact a vampire and he/she is standing behind you but don't look because they will get really angry and eat you!!

See? XD

If I was to go into the Twilight universe...I'll be a badass vampire slayer or something. Mushy love is for gurlz

Strange...seeing that I am thinking of it, does that mean I'm liking this universe?

Don't listen to him-- I mean me! *Closes his own mouth-

*Gasp*

End

Not.

XD

LOL

Edward is a stalker. That could have two effects on a girl.

She could either like the attention, and lavish in the fact that someone wastes his life that spanned over three hundred years or something walking behind a girl who's clumsy enough to trip on a flat surface.

Or she could act like-- Oops, real world ref. She could just get a restraining order on me-- I mean him. xD

Seriously? I've never stalked a girl. I'm just kidding.

And what a magnificant result! She's sitting on his lap as we speak...how come I'm not as lucky-- xD

Death has its charm.

That's all I have to say about this review.

Ciao.
