The Power of Kindness

I got a delivery notice in the mail a few days ago, but wasn't expecting any packages. There were a bunch of problems with it and finally I got the issue sorted out with a Canada Post customer service rep over the phone just now. The notice was a bogus, as suspected. However while on the phone with the lady, I was super kind, friendly, cheerful, and all that good stuff. Usually I try to be that all the time when talking casually to people! However after we had taken care of the issue, she began to tell me how kind and wonderful I was when talking with her. We talked about it, like how some people can be huge jerks over the phone and whatnot, but she gave me this huge compliment about how I was being so sweet to her. I told her I hope I made her day, and she said I did! I also told her I hoped she had a great evening and all that. Every word I said to her was 1000% completely true, all genuine kindness, I swear. Hearing how I made her feel better made me feel amazing too, obviously enough so to write about it here.

Many times, people greatly underestimate the power of kindness and understanding. It's so fucking powerful, and it can change a persons day or even life. 8)
