I did research all this morning and came to the conclusion that my froggy was a "grey tree frog". I had my doubts for a while about the species, because my little girl was very different from the regular description. I called D&D's Exotics, the local herp specialist store I go to all the time for Crisis, and Debby the store owner gave some advice and confirmation.
So just a few hours ago I took my froggy to Camp Samack and released her near the water, along the grassy ground close to the trees. Ryan came with me and held her for a few minutes, then we said our goodbyes. I hope she'll do really well in the area, because I feel she needs to be there. A real home for her! She was soooo cute, and had such big round bright beautiful eyes, and she would look right up at you with them. I now remember... I never took any pics of her.... fuck. DX I forgot... oh well. But really, she was sooo beautiful. If I had ended up keeping her, I would have named her "Hyla", after her genus name, and it sounds pretty.
Well, my family came over for my B-Day today, and already found awesome ways to fuck it up. I'm trying really hard to not let them get to me though, so I really hope I can withstand everyone's bullshit and feel better once I have the night for me and my dudes. Most of the crap is being done by my grandma, who has a wooonderful habit of being a huge douche (God bless her), and my Mom who is supporting said douchery and smoking around my face which is making me sick. Even though I usually tolerate her smoking, since it's my B-Day today I want her to go elsewhere so I don't have to smell her nasty. DX ORZ... I ended up fleeing the scene as fast as I could, and took refuge with Ryan back in my dungeon and on here. Internet is refuge at the time, lol.
