Pokemon Toys are Luff!!
I think I am falling for the new pokemon Shimama, the zebra. At first glance he was a bit doofy, but I was able to accept him happily. But now I keep seeing the most amazing fanart of it and I think I'm getting a sweetness over him. It's hard because this new liking is making me think more about the new gen and how it may affect my collecting. New pokemon will definetely mean I will like more species, and thus will start the desire to collect them. But I'm curious about how much merch will be made of the species I end up liking, and how far will I go into the collection? I really can't afford to put my heart towards anymore SERIOUS collections because my mew collection is still far from being "complete". I am also still missing a ton of items that pertain to my other fav pokemon that only had a few things made of them. Basically I have my mews, but I also have small, less hardcore collections of the rest of my favs. Sooo... I'm a bit worried, especially about the numbers of Zoroark, Zekrom, and Reshiram merch. Very much Zekrom.
In other pokemon-related stuffs, I drew a wicked realistic-styled Huntail a couple days ago and am proud of it. Huntail is a pokemon I don't have any feeling towards, but I thought he could look pretty wicked and badass if drawn a certain way. So I did, and he's sexy! Afterwards I had to try to draw a realistic mew from my image, and did... and it turned out pretty great too. I should do a bit more on them and scan them...
And last night I was able to work more on my collection site, and spliced up the layout image. Today I have to start the coding of both layouts because I want to make 2 types for different screen res'. The screen res I had it set to before was annoying the crap outta me because the content area was too small!! But since some people still use shitty 800x600 (like srsly..? ;P) I decided to keep the small layout and alter a copy of it to be a large-sized version, for the norms who use 1024x768 and up. This new change also means I have to make a splash page so you can choose your version, which for once was something I didn't want for certain reasons. I think I have a great idea for a new piece of art I can draw up to use as an into image. MORE WORK, orz... I dunno why I feel the want/need to spend so much time making this website, all for a mew collection. A normal person would of had this site done and online by now! I am slow... ;___;
Lastly... Durarara!! anime ended, so I'm sad. It was one of the best animes I've ever fanfagged over!! I'm hoping for a season 2 and maybe 3, however with how crazy popular and loved the series is, and the massive amount of content in the story, I can really see season 2 being worked on right now. They would be fucked up if they chose not to. It's one of those anime series I plan to hopefully buy once the DVD box set is available.
