Milo (8 months now) can say Papabababa and Mama. Started to say these words at the same day. My efforts of pointing and repeating Papa, Mama, Milo seem to have fruited. To some degree. Still he ignores his name if he choses to and laughs when I say Papa too often.

Is his name pronounced like German (Mee-lo) or English? I think a lot of kids have problem with the letter 'p'. My first word was 'Baba'(Trying to say 'papa' for my grandfather).

The pronunciation is Mee-low which is actually a Slavik / Balkan name meaning kind or lovely. Our janitor's wife was so happy when she learned the name, because she's apparently from South East Europe. There is also a chocolate drink called Milo.

hope you're doing well. take care.

That's a great name! Milo(the drink) hasn't made it's way to the States. We have one here called 'Ovaltine'.

Doing good! Just playing the 'waiting game' for our little One. How does Maya like it in Germany? My sister sometimes has withdrawal from Japan, but her husband seems to like it in the States. They were in Nagoya.
