Shit, now I know why my leg position is so awful: MY LEG IS WEAK AS HELL. I rode Ozzie today (P+F was canceled and instead of going home I was smart and decided to ride in the blistering heat) and did some no stirrup work. First off, he's not a good horse to do that on because he has so many problems and is liable to buck at any time, secondly, god damn. It has been so long since I worked without stirrups. I used to be able to do laps around the big lower at Avenel, posting, no stirrups, no problem. I was dying after two circles of half the lower at Rock Creek. Now I know why my leg is so shitty over jumps. It's going to be a long road to get it back. A painful road.
Aight, I leave for the beach Saturday morning with Charlie, my dad, my bro, and his friend. I'll be gone for two weeks, and that means no painful text only posts for you all for a while. :) Hopefully I'll have a lot of photos when I get home.
I'm excited. I look forward to this trip all year. :)
