"dance with fury and vigor"

my fake birthday was a success. the jekyl & hyde restaurant is officially my favoritest place EVER. one guy asked me to wrestle a dwarf. i said maybe if i met him first. that was really the only character who came over, but our waitress was cool too. she sang a tiny bit of "Stop! in the Name of Love" with us when one of the animatronic doo-dads came to life. and there was this cute waiter that flirted with me and shouted to everyone that it was my birthday. we found a little flyer on the ground telling the "story" of the restaurant, which i read dramatically to alex & marian. i started out with a british accent, fell out of it, then tried to get back in, but it sounded vaguely australian, so then i just went with it. the best part of the evening was that when they went to do the frankenstein bit, and the mechanism wasn't working to lower the slab, so the actor tried to stall by having everyone dance. that didn't work, so they just basically went through the entire routine again. "never before has a body been brought back to life, killed, brough back to life again, and then tranquilized!" excellent. the tvs showed village of the damned which was pretty spooky and silly at the same time. the birthday song is wonderful. then the cute waiter boy sat down again with us. i admired his tibetan rosary beads, and he found a very silly (and rather weird) excuse to touch me. we were about to leave when he sat down again.

so THAT was all pretty awesome. we should all go in december. yes yes.
