I went to the doctor to get vaccinated today.
The nurse said I didn't need to get vaccinated for polio.
She vaccinated me for HPV and encouraged me to laugh about it. "No need to be so serious all the time," she chided. Umm... I was there to just get my shots and go, not crack jokes with the RNs.
The doctor said I could get vaccinated for polio. She had an obvious wealth of hair on her upper lip.
But the nurse said they didn't have any in stock. The doctor said I should check to see how prevalent polio is in the areas of India I'm visiting, and then go to a travel clinic if I felt I needed to get the polio vaccine. "Why do you look so confused?" she asked. Umm... Why do I have to decide if I need it; I'm NOT a doctor!
I hate my doctor's office. So dysfunctional. They booked me for a doctor's visit, when it should've been just a nurse's visit. Probably means they charged more too. Friggin' leeches.
