(no subject)
While reading various nodes on Everything2, I suddenly became curious about the Maine accent. I decided to read up on the subject and found that Justin did not have one (to my limited experience with accents, anyway)
Upon confrontation, the blame was put unto me as to why this was so (as well as to something else which shall remain uncited).
Apparently, he wanted to fit in and I would sometimes go "What?" when I couldn't understand him. I asked why he never called me gov'nah, and he replied, "I did. You teased me for a long time."
Well, several years later, he's apparently, lost it. No, I'm not referring to his mind which was lost much longer ago. His Maine accent.
I find that this sucks. Although from what I've heard from sound clips and things and read, I probably would not even be able to distinguish it from anything. I actually think it sounds like a mix of southern and what I know of the Boston one sounds like.
Although it's probably just sounds New English, which it is. But damnit, I've wanted a New English accent since forever. How could he lose his? -.-
And then I realize: I lose my accent all the time -.-
Bah, humbug. I'm so going to get me a fake Downeastah accent or I'm not the most wicked cunnin' boy-ee from away -.-...
