What do we want? TACOS! When do we want it? ANOTHER TACO!

Nov 15, 2008 18:31

The protest in bullet points:

- Showed up at 10:30 with Alicia, not a lot of people.
- Club music for about an hour and a half.
- Speakers were amazing, including the mayor of Seattle who declared November 15th Marriage Equality Day in the city.
- Marching, combined with chanting (horray!)
- Lots and lots and lots of photo taking.
- More marching and chanting with photo taking.
- Naked lady standing in the window of her apartment rooting on the parade.
- Sign holder for a condo company standing on the corner shouting: "What do we want? CONDOS! When do we want it? NOW!"
- CHRISTIAN EVANGELICALS!
- Me screaming in the face of said Christians (particular favorites- Evangelical: Jesus died for your sins! Me: Yeah? Well Jesus is dead, God is dead! Now sit down and shut the fuck up!)
- Me leading chants, 'cause I have an obscenely loud voice when it's not blowing out.
- COLLIN!
- Alicia got into a civil discussion with an Evangelical until another more retarded one started shit with her.
- Got dinner with Alicia, Collin, Log, Robbie/Eugene, and other guy who I feel really bad for forgetting his name.
- Couldn't escape Seattle for a long time, but now I'm home.
- Going out soon to get all 260 shots developed at Walgreens later.
- ?
- Nap.

Also, I think I recognized a few people from badrobot68's page. Didn't say hi 'cause I didn't know 'em, but I saw 'em. 'Hello' if it was you!

Expect lots of pictures soon.
