To tell the truth, this is a product of three different "drabbles" I made within the week... two of which didn't have an ending. The third one had an opposite ending to this one-- which sort of pissed off my beta-reader. lulz.

She forgets, sometimes. She forgets that he was an NSA agent sent to spy on the corporation; she forgets that she sent him to the Attic; and she forgets that he’s not by her side anymore.

She misses him. Terribly. And she loathes herself for it. Laurence Dominic caused her so much pain but she finds herself missing him. It’s irrational, it’s ridiculous and it’s absolutely true.

*cries* Oh, I love this. There's something so gripping and eerie and yet right about the idea of Adelle being haunted by him, and I love seeing fic about it.

There's this weird mixture of comfort and torment in it, of longing and anger. So absolutely perfect for them.

Thanks XD. I kinda want to see something like this on the show. I mean, Joss can take a page from BSG, since he's such a fanboy and give Adelle a head!Dominic (except that he's not an angel...). And it's going to be so fitting because both Adelle and Baltar both have an English accent and their head!people are both impeccably dressed.

I love this! This reminds me why I started reading D/D fanfic in the first place. The concept is simple and sad yet so powerfully gut-wrenching. I love the connection you made in a reply comment about BSG- head!Dominic would be supremely awesome. Can you imagine Adele's reaction? She would be so much more blase about it than Baltar...I can really see her rolling with it and treating him like a partner, after the initial shock, of course.

Ooh, cool fic idea: The reader doesn't know that he's head!Dominic. They're working together perfectly like usual, solving whatever the recent ruckus is in the House, and Adele starts getting hot and bothered over him. And she makes as though to kiss him and can't, because he's not real- and it ends with him saying something sardonic and bitter and disappearing. That would be angsty to an extreme.

I've read a head!dominic fic before (hell, it might have been one of yours, my memory is terrible about internet pages!) but this part really stood out for me
“And who will you talk to? Therapists hired by Rossum? A doll imprinted with a composite of all the best psychiatrists in the entire planet? Topher?” he scoffs
And that he'll only go when she asks him to go, but she can't ask because she misses him and thinks she deserves his "haunting"...wonderful :)
