Hatred is a bitter poison that flows slowly through the veins. Godot had felt its sting many times in his life, and had suffered dearly for it. In the end, he couldn’t blame Dahlia for where he was. He should have realized that he would be a target for her wrath. He should have been awake to protect Mia.
The IV slowly dripped, his eyes closing one last time.
