I'm so bad at this.

Dang it. I hate it when I do that. I just got back from Jamba Juice, and there was this girl behind me that looked very familiar, but I couldn't place where I'd seen her before. Then as I'm waiting for my smoothie and she finishes ordering hers, she walks over to me and says, "Hi, Daren! How are you doing?"
And I'm like, in panic-must-remember-name mode now, and I'm say, "I'm good, good. You?"
She says, "I'm good. I'm just over here 'cuz I have field hockey practice."
And I'm like, "Oh that's cool... hey, I'm sorry - I forgot your name."
She says, "Amanda."
"Oh that's right, Amanda!" I still don't know who she is. But then! it clicks. I point at the wall that faces the coffee shop. "That's right, you work just over at uh-"
"It's a Grind, yeah."
"Yeah, of course. Wow, I'm sorry. I totally hate when I do that, like 'she looks completely familiar, but I suddenly don't know from where'..."
She laughed and agreed. But still, I can't help but feel I insulted her. So when I got my drink I left and told her "Good luck with the field hockey," hoping that she knows I am going to remember next time!

So anyway. I hate that! I feel like such a heel. The good thing about it though is that when I see her at work again, I can totally be free to talk to her, 'cuz now I've got that invitation. So that's good. Hope no hard feelings.
