Just got back a couple of hours ago from an interesting wedding. I performed the ceremony for the divorced daughter of a friend from the local theatre troupe. The whole family is Roman Catholic, but I got to do the ceremony partly as a friend, I think, and partly because the RC Church has a really hard time with that word "divorce" - I have now married at least two (or is it three?) couples in this situation. The wedding was good, and everyone said that my advice to the couple was excellent and should be used for everyone's marriage; I just hope it sticks, y'know? I think it will - they're a good couple, very much in love, and I think it will settle down to straight up "love" in, oh, five years or so.
I'm so glad God gave us so many different kinds of love to experience, and that He gave us partners with which we can experience all of them.

Then I got home in time to see the last hour of "Terry" with Shawn Ashmore playing Terry Fox. Outstanding movie, one that really gets down deep beneath the surface of who Terry Fox was and what motivated him. Shawn Ashmore was a good "Iceman" in X-2, but was a much better Terry Fox, because he got to stretch to fill the role. I especially liked the end, with some card screens giving some statistics (did you know that the Terry Fox Foundation has raise $400,000,000(!!!!!) in the last 25 years?) and then a film montage of actual Terry Fox clips.
Terry went and told the world about cancer; I pray that I'll have at least a portion of his conviction for going and telling people about God's saving grace (and yes, I have a tricky sermon tomorrow!)
