(no subject)
friday morning i was taking a shower with sir michael and for no apparent reason i passed out. michael said my eyes rolled in the back of my head, and he thought i was joking around, until i fell out of the shower and hit my head on the bathroom cabinet and hit my elbow on something (the cabinet? maybe the just floor?) then i started convulsing for about 30 seconds.
i remember dreaming like i was in a deep sleep, i could hear michael saying "derek, derek" and i could feel my right arm shaking because of the pain in my elbow. i came to and michael asked me what his name was, where i was, and i answered everything correctly. i felt like i had to vomit, but that only lasted a moment and i eventually got up and went to lay down in bed for a while. i felt fine for the most part after.
he tried to get me to go to the hospital and i said no. we went out to get some breakfast (croissant du jour, i had a veggie sandwich and pumpkin soup, the best soup ever!) he had to go to school, so i came home and my step mom convinced me to go to the doctor after i told her what happened. i went to mercy care and the doctor just took some vitals, listened to what happened, and took an xray of my elbow to see if it was broke. i knew it was fine, just sore, so basically i got an expensive xray for nothing... * grumble* then the doctor sent me to the hospital.
i called my mom to inform her of the situation, mostly because she has a similar thing where she faints but that is mostly because of her massive birthmark on her face. She insisted she wanted to come with, so ok. i get to the hospital and they take a blood sample (ow! apparently my blood is thick so they had trouble getting it out?) then they made me take a urine test, and i was surprised i got any out cause i didnt have to pee at all! and they gave me a cat scan and i had to wait in the hospital all day on the beeping heart machines with the sticky circles all over my chest. and i have lots of chest hair, and those things hurt like heck when i ripped them off!
after all of that, they didnt find anything wrong with me. they are supposed to call me monday to schedual an eeg or maybe it was an eek? i dont remember. they dont think it was a seizure, exactly, because i was coherent after the fact, and there was a sequence of other things that didnt line up to say i had a seizure. which is good, cause he would have had to take my license away for 6 months. but for now he suggested that i not drive or opperate heavy machinary, etc.
so thats that story, i feel fine now, except my neck hurts and ive been getting headaches, but i attribute that to the fall.
now back to my homework. btw i still dont know what im doing in school, im pretty sure i dont want to be a teacher but i keep going through the motions... but thats a different post... later!
