Mention religion and you get quite a reaction out of people. Intriguing. Some very interesting points were brought up in all the responses I read. I like the way it was put by the starving poet though, Adam and Eve acting out of ignorance rather than evilness or disobedience. Those were words that may have reflected what I meant to say better than the ones I used. And in case there was any confusion, I wasn't blaming Eve for the apple thing. I probably didn't get that point across as well as I wanted to though. I was reflecting more on the theme of ignorance than any intentions on her part. I do agree with shamrock though, it was Adam's choice, although if he was anything like me then he would have had a hard time saying no. (Apparently being misunderstood is also a chance taken when discussing religion, but I think the fault lay in my own statements.)
All in all, this was a strange topic of discussion for myself, as I generally claim to be Buddhist, although I am far from devout. I was merely intrigued by some christian concepts I had thought about.
