To be added to as Derek meets people and gets to know them.
Feel free to post if you want to know what he thinks of your character. Also, if I haven't added your character yet and they've interacted with Derek, give me a reminder. :)
This is, of course, a constant work in progress, and the descriptions will change and grow as Derek gets to know people better and their relationships change.
Buffy
When he first arrived at Luceti, Buffy was one of the first friends he made, and she knows just about everything about him at this point. At the time, he felt close to her. However, the longer he's been here, the more strained the relationship has become, at least from his point of view. He's not much for playing games, and although he's been open with her, getting her to say anything about herself has been like pulling teeth, which isn't something he enjoys doing. Between that, sensing her nervousness about his condition, and the fact that her friends from home have arrived and are able to give her the support she really needs, Derek has allowed himself to become distant, and to let her put more distance between them, whether by intention or not. He still respects her, still trusts that if anything wrong should happen, that she'll make sure he's put down, but other than that...he's determined to let the friendship cool a bit.
Hanekoma
Derek's initial trust of Hanekoma is something he still doesn't really get; he just did, and it wound up with Sanae knowing almost about as much about him as Buffy. For the most part, they have a pretty easy going friendship...unfortunately, though, it's been strained by an unfortunate accident; Hanekoma wound up startling him when he was having problems coping with his infection, and Derek wound up biting him. Fortunately, Hanekoma was able to purge the infection from himself, but it left an uncertainty between them that has yet to settle itself....of course, them kissing during Dragobete probably didn't help that, either...
Simon
'Straightforward'; that's the immediate impression Derek has of Simon. He's also been very forthcoming with information, and helped Derek get oriented on several things, especially when it came to the common ground of vampire hunting. Derek suspects Simon would make a good man to trust on the battle field, and although he hopes that never has to be proven, he's willing to extend that trust to Simon on other things. He hasn't seen Simon lately.
Okita
Derek's first impression of Okita was during the 'Don't Quit Your Day Job' event, and was verging on brain breaking. He was torn between trying to be helpful (well, as helpful as a person can get when the other person is suffering some sort of weird effects and the first one doesn't want to encourage it), and trying to slip quietly away once Okita tried to recruit him to 'help' the man become a 'Vegas Show Girl'. Since then, after Okita recovered, they've become friends, and talk often, at least over the journals. They also trade information and advice, and Derek trusts Okita to speak straight with him.
Ginko
Derek is still figuring Ginko out. Man seems very nice, very intelligent, and very perceptive. They've had some insightful conversations, and Derek has no problem with sharing information with him. He'd probably put the guy up, too, if he needed a place to stay. He'll need to interact with him more though before he gets a more solid opinion of the guy.
Raphael
Derek met Raphael when the guy come to check out his 'fighting skills'. They wound up in a sparring match, which at first made Derek more leery of the guy than anything else, since he came across as a trouble seeker and a brawler, but further interaction has changed that; Raphael has proven to be a good friend, and has even shared a bit of his own sorrows and worries with Derek. In return, Derek's opinion of the guy has changed quite a bit; his opinion now is that Raph actually cares about people (maybe too much for his own good), is protective of his family, and is a good guy. He's just a bit rough around the edges...much like many of the hunters Derek knows on his own world, and he can get that. Raphael (and his brothers) are welcome in his space anytime.
Donatello
Donny is the second of the four turtles Derek has met (Mike went home before they could meet, and Leo is perpetually 'somewhere else'), and it was because Don get the idea to introduce himself to the rest of C6. Realizing Don was Raph's brother, Derek went into 'your family is my family too' mode, invited the guy in, and fed him. Since then, he and Don have had several talks, and he likes the guy quite a bit. Like Raph, he's welcome anytime.
Moro
Uh...Moro. Yeah. Forest Guardian Goddess Spirit....wolf?
Derek has an uncomfortable, but so far non-violent, something of a relationship with Moro, in that he does his best to be polite and respectful when they meet, and she does her best not to kill him on sight because he's 1) infected and 2) a goddamn human (sort of). He really doesn't know how long her patience with him will last, and doesn't expect to remain unscathed, really, but he does respect her for who and what she is, so will continue to keep his dealings with her on the same level he always has...even if someday she wounds up making good on her threat to kill him. He figures at least she has a good, solid reason for it.
((Needs Maor CRz))
Jack
So far, Derek likes him well enough.
Litchi
She's made him smile several times and seems like a nice lady
Jill
He feels something of a kinship based on things they've talked about, but he still doesn't know her well enough to have a solid opinion yet.
Stitch
A little blue alien that looks something like a dog, is cute, and knows all the Elvis songs (and likes the Bon Jovi songs Derek knows). He enjoys Stitch's company.
Atsuki
Atsuki is one of Derek's neighbors, and he and Derek have spoken a few times. The first time, he tried to use his ability on Derek, which Derek sensed. The second time though they just talked, and Derek is more comfortable around him now.
