Education

Today I was thinking of making a video of Marq's song "Completely Broken," which we haven't had time away from work to work on as a band. It's one of my favorite songs off the new Crash Habit demo disc. I am thinking, when it's finished, it will be truly great. Then, I got distracted and started watching the Westco video from the year 2000. There is a portion where Peter is doing interviews with those in the Butt dorms. At one point, Adam asks Peter if education is important. Peter gives a very thought-provoking answer.

I can only hope of finiding a way to put a dent in my own $160,000+ in student loans, or my 29% interest credit card. I know I am going to have to start winning some big civil rights cases soon or I'll be done. The desperation is beginning to kick in.

My dad left a message for my mom saying he heard there was a job at the City Attorney's office open, and that I should apply for it. He said they pay pretty well, have health insurance and other benefits, and I would qualify for graduated income repayment without being considered private practice. They even get paid vacation, ...what a concept. I don't know if he does that to provoke me, or just out of ignorance, ignorance that the City Attorneys are those who represent those whom I sue on a daily basis. I told my mother he should call me directly on my phone if he ever wants to discuss my life's chosen work. But he never does. I would like to talk to him someday, deeply, about what is truly important in life.
