Over the past couple of weeks I managed to chase Southern Pacific 4449 on both eastward and westward trips between Chicago and Durand, Michigan, a route that passes through my figurative backyard (meaning within a few hours drive). And I managed to put in a few miles behind her, as well. You can find small Flickr sets for each trip here:
