I've been reading Snarry.

:)

A lot of the Snarry fics I come across are kinda mediocre (in terms of characterization), but I came across one that I thought was fairly good. At first, I thought Harry was written a little too...young...or simple or stupid or something. But then I realized that most well-written fics tend to make Harry a little smarter than he actually is in the books. And that my standards are a little high in regards to intelligence. For all I know, this characterization of Harry could be representing average 17 year old boys' intelligence...

For all that, I still believe Harry's in character. I liked the characterization of him, even if it took me a while to get used to.

The author's Snape is dead on though, I think.

This was written after DH and is a little dark. But it's not one of those fics where all it does is depress you with its depravity (in a good way)...it has a lot of hope in the fic and a lot good insights. I don't know how to describe it. It IS depressing and it IS dark, but that is not the overall feeling I'm left with when I read it.

I guess what I really love about it is that Snape and Harry are slowly, painfully coming to an understanding. And that it incorporates DH into this understanding. And, I kinda like Stockholm's syndrome fics... >_>

Uh, warning: contains slash...I always forget that not everybody who reads my entries enjoys slash...or fic in general. :/

Nights of Gethsemane by kibatsu
Summary: Harry is a prisoner of the Dark Lord and Snape his prison guard. Completely cut off from the outside world, Harry struggles to hold himself intact as he is forced to rely on Snape for everything. Yet Snape may not be all that he appears....
Notes: This is my first attempt at fanfiction. A very long and complicated exploration of the development of a relationship between two deeply flawed and volatile characters.
