(no subject)
The first three days of school went well for the most part. Here's my schedule for the year:
1st & 2nd- AP Biology- I'm going to love this class. It's going to be challenging, but I love bio and the teacher. :)
3rd- Acad. Physics- I really like Mr. Menard and he's going to be a great teacher. I'm just upset that he doesn't teach honors and that I didn't get honors.
4th- Honors English- Everyone else seems to despise Mrs. Brown, but I think I'm going to like her. One because she's not Marie Suter and two because she supposively really prepares her students for college, which is what I want/need. And did I mention that she's NOT Marie Suter??
5th- MS Excel/Access- I DID NOT WANT THIS CLASS. It's extremely easy and I want to bang my head off of a wall. I know the programs already. I do like the teacher. She seems really nice, but my intelligence feels extremely insulted with this class. I'm working on getting out of it because I want a math class. I'll have anthropology next semester, but that might change too.
6th- Community Service- I'm in the school store. I do homework, watch the Young and the Restless, stock, and answer Mr. Aboud's phones. It's a nice break. :)
7th- Newswriting- This class changed a lot this year. We wrote stories on the first day. I still think it'll be good though.
Ernesto hit last night and dumped acid rain all over Altoona. We marched in it. We got soaked. YAY for hurricanes!
Ernesto still decided to visit Altoona this morning, so there was no parade. Good that there was no parade, bad that I had to get up to go to school to be told there was no parade.
PSU won it's first home game. :)
They didn't show the halftime performances on PCN along with last night's game. I was highly upset. We sat through all of that rain and worked so hard on our show for them not even to recognize it. It really infuriates me. I'm thinking of contacting someone about it and finding out why it wasn't aired or why they don't air the halftime show. Marching band always gets the shaft. :(
So Labor Day is Monday; no school. :) I think I'm going to the curve game.
I have to twirl at Dick's Sporting Goods grand opening tomorrow. I haven't practiced and I'm not prepared. I'm glad I can do a routine that I know. They didn't even give me a time. Terrific.
I'm cold and tired. I think I'll go to bed soon. goodnight everyone. :)
