So this past weekend was Anime Boston, and overall I would say that I thought it was a mixed experience. There was lots... and lots... and lots... of drama. Like, maybe more than I've had at any other AB. But I had a ton of fun.

I roomed with Racheal, Laura, Henry, and Sarah and it was fantastic. Everything was so chill and I'm glad that we all hung out and got along. I've had pretty bad hotel experiences, but this one was great. It wasn't too expensive on top of that!

As a joke I made the clear Lady Gaga costume from the Bad Romance video, and it also got mixed reviews. Some people thought it was hilarious, others thought it was a plea for attention. Whatever you guys thought, I got pulled into Lo and crew's skit and that was kind of funny. I always love being able to sit backstage during the masquerade... no dealing with the unwashed masses. ;D

TOO MUCH DRAMA BACKSTAGE.

Anywho, I've come up with a couple of skit ideas. I want to start competing for performance, probably not for craftsmanship. When I have a working sewing machine I can get together some good stuff (Wedding Yuna, for example!) but I think I'd rather just focus on the skit and giving everyone a good time.

But back to the real world! I start my new job tomorrow, I'm a barista in the Gillette corporate building 5am-3pm Monday through Friday. Getting up at, like, 3:30 am is going to suck, but the benefits of the job are great! Full insurance, and great pay. The two managers who I met are awesome, and I think this is going to go really well.

Now, I am NOT a dancer. I've never taken a formal dancing class in my life. Sunday night was my first actual dance performance at the Great Burlesque Exposition, and it actually went REALLY well. Bride put together something incredible, and it paid off for her! CONGRATS, GURL.

Last night was the first French Kiss rehearsal and overall I think it went pretty well. I am very clearly the least experienced though. The lead choreographer told me that I blew them away at my audition and that's why they cast me in the numbers that they did... I'm just nervous about sucking. I started picking up on it eventually, but I just hope that I pick it up! I think my facial expressions are really what makes me good for burlesque, but without knowing the choreography I'm fucked.

Well, I'm off to work at Joe's for my last weekday morning shift. :D
