60 Things Maya Harrera Learned Since Arriving in the USA

Jun 23, 2008 15:58

1) She can be extremely dense at times.
2) Bonding over being a murderer is not a good basis for a relationship.
3) Gab-Sylar wasn't lying about the people who kidnapped him and took his abilities away.
4) Mohinder won't let them do anything too horrible to her.
5) And he'll be there with her every step of the way.
6) Bonding over wanting to catch a killer might, just might, be.
7) Sleeping on the couch in his apartment is enough to make church pews look luxurious in comparison
8) And the cot Matt brings home for you absolutely divine.
9) Thanking Elle for driving Sylar away may not have been the smartest thing in the world.
10) Threatening to cry if Elle doesn't stop speculating about... things which she shouldn't speculate about was likewise stupid.
11) Company cells make the ouch look comfortable.
12) Elle is incapable of making a sincere apology.
13) Mohinder can, though.
14) That statement means a whole lot less after he's put her through her exercises.
15) And nothing during those exercises.
16) Matt understands this completely.
17) His Spanish isn't too bad either.
18) Little girls can be spiteful.
19) And vengeful.
20) And observant.
21) And creative.
22) But still be wrong.
23) Utterly dead wrong.
24) She can't possibly be attracted to Matt.
25) Those long night-time biliguial talks about the frustrations involved in controlling dangerous powers mean absolutely nothing.
26) She might be protesting a bit too strongly.
27) But Mohinder's smile still does unholy things to her.
28) It's possible to be attracted to two very different men at once.
29) It's better not to think of such things in the middle of training.
30) Although she would have never found out about what Sylar was doing to his victims if there hadn't been that accident.
31) When no one is around, having a temper tantrum can feel pretty good.
32) Next time, have a temper tantrum somewhere where Mohinder isn't keeping lab rats.
33) Mohinder understands exactly how she feels about Sylar.
34) Up to and including conflicting emotions about the memory of kissing him in a motel.
35) In America, this is considered cliched, rather than strange.
36) Matt's hugs feel wonderful.
37) He smells nice too.
38) Even the knowledge that only one of them could possibly want her back, her feelings are no less divided.
39) If Mohinder can share her attraction to Sylar, he can also share her attraction to Matt.
40) And this still does nothing to lessen your attraction to both of them.
41) Quite the opposite, in fact.
42) Now might be a good time to find a place of her own.
43) Molly would miss her cooking if she did, though.
44) But she still prefers Mohinder's singing.
45) And his tea.
46) Never ask Mohinder why a little girl might prefer tea of hot chocolate.
47) There is something thrilling about exchanging looks with Matt while Mohinder rants.
48) She would regret leaving the apartment.
49) This doesn't make it any less tempting when she hears thumping coming from the bedroom.
50) She really needs to find a friend who isn't involved in this so she can talk.
51) Trying to explain any of this situation in confessional will only confuse the preist.
52) Confused preists are angry preists.
53) Those control exercises must have worked, because he's still alive. ¡Cabrone! How dare he say such things!
54) For all her faults, Elle is a wonderful listener.
55) Even if all of her solutions are physically impossible.
56) Don't ponder such things within hearing range of a telepath.
57) Don't discuss such things with in hearing range of a scientist.
58) Some tests are enjoyable.
59) Even if they must be rushed in order to pick Molly up from school on time.
60) She should really listen to Elle more often.
