Pretty awesome, I'd say. Expensive as heck, but it's a neat approach to ultralight aircraft, and probably more practical than your average flying car since it's VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing, no runways required) and you can easily parachute out of major malfunctions. I'm mostly worried about noise and fuel economy.
Of course, the device is as-yet entirely unproven, so this could all be a fundraising scam. Still, it's nice to daydream about.
