Wow!
I can't believe I haven't written in this since November!! For those of you who read this and kept wondering if my updates haven't been added, well, guess what? I haven't added anything!! I knew this would happen eventually when I signed on to do this. Well, at least I'm writing in it now. The first one of 2005! Man, I have to get used to writing/typing that one.
I got back from San Francisco, CA on Sunday night. I had a blast with Andy and Amanda. NIU went to the Silicon Valley bowl game and we totally won! As Al would say, "sweet tits." ;o) It was totally worth the trip standing in the rain. All four days we were there, it rained. I might as well have been in Ireland, which I'm visiting next in March with Liz and Jessica. We went to: the Winchester House in San Jose (must see), Savannah-Chanelle wine tasting and redwood grove in Saratoga, Union Square with trolleys (must do), ate at Scoma's off Pier 47, fireworks over the Bay Bridge for New Years (not raining, thank goodness), took a boat tour of San Francisco Bay (Alcatraz was closed, for the love of pete!), saw sea lions, ate at Gordon Biersch's Brewery, drove down Lombard Street (definately a must do, screams included), crossed the Golden Gate Bridge (I didn't freak out!!), went to Vista Point to take pictures, drove through Sausilito, and then got back on the plane the next day to come home. Long four days, but it was totally worth it. I had great companions the whole trip, including the rain and some sunshine.
Yesterday, I received a letter from my friend Carl that's in the services overseas. I've been writing him for some months now and I finally got my first letter back with a Christmas card. I was so excited, I couldn't wait to open the envelope. Yes, I'm nuts, but that's who I am. At least I didn't get a paper cut.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! For those of you still hung over from New Years, shame on you. ;o)
