"It was as inevitable as the sun coming up. Within days of the revelation that author James Frey may have fudged some of the details in his 2003 "memoir" A Million Little Pieces, lawyers filed the first of at least three suits seeking millions of dollars in damages from allegedly defrauded consumers. Attorney Michael David Myers wants to assemble a class action on behalf of every Washington resident who read A Million Little Pieces-- plus anybody who bought the book from a Washington vendor. In a twist on conventional consumer-fraud suits, Myers also wants publisher Random House to pay consumers for the time they spent reading the book. "I don't think the purchasing price is enough for those people who really feel a sense of betrayal, who had real emotions created by this book," said Meyers. "They wouldn't have read it if they knew it wasn't true."'

why are people in this world such heartless animals. slapping a lawsuit on a guy for fabricating a few minor details that dont affect ANYTHING? and what a rediculous lawsuit too. at least come up with something better than betrayal, which isnt even true. he didnt betray a single reader. and oprah. oprah is a soulless bitch. god forbid this man tarnish her status as queen of the world. i love you james frey.
