Entry: 2 [video without sound]/[text]
[[At first only a colourful flickering can be seen until it slowly becomes a clearer image. Rip is standing in a sparsely decorated room, but the background is hard to see anyway. She is looking at the screen and slightly smiling. Also, she's balancing a flintlock musket over her shoulders, which is nearly as long as she is tall.]]
It's working! Very good.
[[Now it's evident that the video has no sound. What she is saying appears at the bottom of the screen as text. However, Rip doesn't notice.]]
I have been successfully experiementing with the possibilities on hand, as you can see. And I have taken up residence within the City at last, though I will need time to completely settle in. What I have seen of it up to now, it is a very confusing place.
An obscure comedy.
[[She pauses to think.]]
The City has a lot more people than I first thought, too - so maybe I'll be spared further encounters with Samiel. That reminds me! --
Does anyone know what the term filtering refers to? I've seen it twice now and it seems to have to do something with privacy?
