Hello from your friend the evil overlord

In the land of Mordor, in the fires of MountDoom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a master ring to control all others. And into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life.

Hello from Mordor. Excuse me for a sec while I get this ring off… *errrgghhhh* OK.

Yikes. This is what happens when you’re blissfully ( Read more... )

And to this day, I STILL think that JoA should have had a 3rd season over VM's 2nd because as bad as JoA got, it never got near the depths of horror that VM has. Of course, had my ship been treated like your ship, I might disagree. I didn't realize they gave you a warning, too. So stupid, it wasn't even either of us, it was the other former-GH-watcher who was all bitchy and antagonistic about it, we were fine.

Good post, cracked me up especially: “How quickly would you become a Scientologist if JDoh suddenly became single?” Seriously, tears in my eyes, laughing so hard. And at: I don’t think there’s anything wrong with criticizing/mocking the public figures who represent that show and expect to be discussed in the press and on the internet, such as Rob and KBell (and those are the only two that I mock/criticize, since they took Teddy Dunn away from me). Oh, and I wanna read this meme if actually exists: the asinine-things-KBell-says-in-the-media meme.

This is true. JoA never called itself feminist while having every female character raped/murdered/sexually traumatized in some way.

The meme is at grave_watchers -- it's the one about why Logan isn't good enough for V.

This is a bit of a non-sequitur, but what was the other ship on JOA? I am in the middle of the second season (not hating it, but the first season was spectacular) and all I was aware of was Joan/Adam.

I am a weird person who never saw any of JoA's first season, except for the season one finale, but really liked the first half of the second season, before Adam started acting like a total loser and whining about Joan not having sex with him, WF?????

That said, Grace and Luke were adorable. The mix CD trading was awesome.

Actually, Grace in general on that show was awesome and totally relatable-- that is exactly what I was like in high school, minus everyone thinking I was a lesbian.

I loved Luke/Grace so much, but then I started watching VM and as much as I loved L/G, Logan and Veronica overtook them as my couple. I still maintain that JoA was a better show -- that show made me think, made me feel, made me cry, made me rethink how I live some aspects of my life -- but as much as I adored L/G, I do love Logan/Veronica more. Had anyone told me that in the end the L/G story would wind up being a million more times satisfying than L/V, I would have been shocked. Of course, it helps when the people behind the show and the actors love the pairing. Sigh.
