Etsy!
In a flash of inspiration I decided to see where Etsy was based and if they were hiring. It turns out that Etsy is based in Brooklyn, NY and they have quite a few positions open. I applied for two last night and I'm really excited about the possibility of working there. As anybody who knows me knows, I <3 Arts & Crafts. Real talk.
Oh! Speaking of Etsy, I ordered a Boojiboo apron a few weeks ago. It's love! Check it out. (And, yes, those are cupcakes.)
Also, I am <3ing my new violin, which I have named Park. I bought her for a song (pun intended) from a guy in Brooklyn who now exclusively plays the viola. $50 for a German made violin: Rock! She looks a lot like my first instrument, repaired crack and all. Right now I'm just practicing scales and simple songs, but I'm pretty impressed with how much I/my body remembers about playing the violin. (I pretty much stopped playing altogether when I went off to college in 2002.) I'm off to Goodwill now to see if they have any music stand available on the cheap. Away!
