A nasty thing has happened to my friend's rabbit - she was pregnant and gave birth to a stillborn baby rabbit, only the one, but was still bleeding a few days later. Was taken to the vet's and had a caesarian (didn't know rabbits could have these), only to find a real, real mess inside her, where another baby rabbit still remained, dead and completely rotted.
Grim stuff. Rabbit is now fine, though.
