poem by me called-centromere

Mutual feelings left sitting on the tousled covers

cold hands tell more than a story

I wanted to be the envy of the town

no one would expect such an ugly girl to have

your heart must be in aftershock

did all that black eyeliner seep into your mind

filling in the gaps in your brain

and blackening the holes in your heart

a deep voice and some smooth talk

it works like date rape in your drink

you come back to consciousness and you find

there’s no support beams to hold my smile

such a pretty face, how did you wind up here

on a body of pestilence and filth

does guilt always come attached to fun

spun me like a spiders silk

denial in all its glory blazes fiery within me

masochist from birth, I guess I like to get hurt

at my own expense, I just love to see you smile
