Relationship Crap
1) What do you look for in a significant other? Perfection. No really, I'm horribly picky. They have to be really good looking, and intelligent with a wide range of interests. I prefer if they're social because I'm not and if they are I can let them do most of that kind of interaction. They need an appreciation of music and theater and a great imagination so that we'll have things to talk about, but they should be practical and grounded and able to deal with everyday affairs because I'm not good at that kind of stuff. I'd want them sensitive and understanding, willing to leave me alone when I want to be alone and comfort me when I need comforting. And a good twisted sense of humor is a must , as is a ready wit and an adventurous spirit so that when we feel like it we can raise hell together. I wouldn't want a needy kind of person who tries to cling to me twenty-four seven. I like my privacy so we should be able to separate and do our own things when we don't feel like being together. I wouldn't want anyone too loud because loud people tend to annoy me but I wouldn't mind an extrovert because its fun to get them going and listen to them rant. To sum up, basically I'd want a person who compensates for my character flaws but who I have enough in common with that we can really connect. Oh yes, and they have to be able to drive because I can't.
2) 3 major turn-ons? general gorgeousness, wit, recklessness (sad but true)
3) 3 major turn-offs? unfortunate physicality (which in my book covers everything from having an unappealing face or figure to being ill groomed and out of shape), general stupidity and ignorance, boring mundane interests
4) What would your ideal significant other look like? Like I said they really have to be good looking. I don't care about hair color, eye color, skin color, or even gender so long as the person has an attractive face, a good body, and knows how to dress.
5) Describe your ideal date Okay. We're in New York. We'd would start out by going to a cafe for a cup of coffee and a pastry of some sort. We'd talk for a while and then we'd go see a play. After it's over we'd go to a bar or something for a drink and talk over what we'd just seen. Then maybe, if there was something good playing we'd go to a late night movie (even if there wasn't a good movie playing we might go to something bad and make fun of it). After that I don't know. I'm a night person so maybe we'd walk the city for a while and enjoy the quiet of the near deserted city streets. And if we happened to run into any trouble, well, that would just add a touch of excitement.
6.) EITHER OR
Love or sex? Love. Sex is swell but it's not the rock on which to build a relationship.
Marriage or no? No, sod marriage. Well, I suppose if my significant other insisted I might consider it, but its nothing that I have any real desire to enter in to.
Looks or brains? Oh I need both. It probably sounds shallow as hell, but if I don't find a person physically attractive I have no interest in a romantic relationship. Friendship is fine, but not romance. And they definitely need to be intelligent. You can't have a lasting meaningful relationship with a brainless bimbo no matter how good they look. It comes down to this, If I can't have both I'm not interested.
Money or personality? Personality by a mile. I mean, I have kind of expensive tastes so money certainly wouldn't come amiss, but it's not an absolute necessity. On the other hand I could never have a pleasant relationship with a person who's personality I despised. I'd feel the need to rip them apart.
Grilled cheese or caviar? Metaphorically I'll take the caviar. But I don't know, I just can't get into the idea of eating fish eggs. Now if the question were champagne or beer then I'd definitely take the champagne. Not that I don't enjoy cheap cuisine on occasion, but if you have the means why not indulge yourself?
Your turn!
7) What is your biggest personality flaw? Damn I have so many it's difficult to say. Probably the fact that I don't tend to tell the full truth to anyone. I like my secrets and my privacy and I'm not willing to easily part with them. I probably wouldn't outright lie to a person that I love and trust, but I dare say I'd still keep things from them, and obviously than can get a bit messy.
8) What really good trait could you bring to a relationship? I'd bring the sharp pointy weapons. Heh, probably my faithfulness. I'm really really devoted to people who I love and I will do pretty much anything for them.
9) What are your definitions of “attraction” and “love?” Attraction is the bolt of lightning. It's the palpable but indescribable magnetism that draws two people together before they really know one another. Is it because of looks, or personality, or just something in the way they move or how they dress? Or is it maybe caused by some deeper recognition of a compatible nature? It's difficult to say really, because for me, attraction defies all logic and reason. It's just that powerful and overarching force that causes two people to want to connect. Love, on the other hand, doesn't happen until you really get to know the person. Love is knowing all of your partners flaws and not only accepting them but loving the person all the more for them. It's being able and willing to sacrifice your own desires in order to fill those of your lover. Love is the ultimate partnership. It's about always being there when your partner needs. To put is briefly I guess I'd say that love is the complete devotion of two people to one another. It's not always pretty, it's not always fun, and it can hurt like hell, but they stick to each other through thick and thin and enrich each others lives in the process.
10) What would you consider your main interests or hobbies? playing with weapons, watching movies and making fun of them if they're bad, going to the theater, watching anime, playing video games, drawing weird and vaguely offensive pictures, being self absorbed (which includes brooding and pacing and staring at myself in the mirror, staring into space, filling out stamping applications, etc.. It's not exactly a hobby but I felt I should include it because it takes up a lot of my time), reading plays, listening to music
