How exquisite, I wish I could have been there to experience all of it.

I have always personally thought that there is a no more beautiful woman in the world than an Indian woman. A personal preference thing. I also consider Japanese women as a group quite beautiful.

Let's see if we can attend a wedding when you are here! North Indian weddings are generally more lavish, but obviously, I understand south Indian wedding rituals better....

I always think that brides everywhere must be a little envious of the Indian bride. I've seen wedding outfits from many cultures and somehow I think that the Indian bride gets the best deal. The white dress, as elegant and sumptuous as it can sometimes be, still lacks that assault the senses with gorgeous beauty impact that silk sarees, jewelry and all the flowers have. For men, I think the traditional Chinese grooms wear is one of the grander and more appealing ones.

WOW! Great pics of a beautiful bride and ceremony. I love all the bright colors and the jewelry and the henna art on her hands and feet. Weddings are so much fun.......thanks for sharing.

just too good! reminds me of my friends' wedding- -Boy from Kerala and the gal from Jharkand, marriage in Chattisgarh!! I notice that the pics have come really well- Initally I thought u used the DSLR, but found out that you used S3IS. I too noticed that S3 never dissapoints during weddings, albeit it is hostile with birds .. pcch

Thank you, that's a compliment I value! Actually, though the S3 is not THE camera I would choose for birding, some closer shots do come out quite well.

KM and my son in law were aghast when they wanted to buy me something for our wedding anniversary, and I asked for the S3. After using the 20D, how CAN you ask for the S3? they said. But...I have never, ever regretted my decision for a minute. I documented the animals of Tanzania on the video function...something which the 20D (or actually no camera except the Nikon D90) can give me... and I really love the Supermacro function on it.

Thanks...the compliment will be passed on! :) She is busy with the Delhi reception (by the boy's side) and its aftermath, and she may check email only sometime after the 7th or so.
