Meeting/Parking point:

and follow the map).

After the parking the road becomes a narrow path. and we can walk along it. better not to take vehicles there.

Meeting time: 0700 hrs. We will wait until the Bee-eaters arrive (any time up to 9am!) , and also look for other birds and living beings.

Fairly level terrain. Narrow mud path to walk on.

Wear: Dull-coloured clothes, hats/caps, comfy walking shoes.

Bring: Binoculars, bird books/apps, cameras, notepads if you like to note observations or sketch

Plenty of water, and snacks if you like to share (we do!)

We left at 4.30, it could have been 5am. Coffee stop at Hegde Condiments at 5.15am (Kaggalipura). No biobreak.  We got a lot of birds on the path. We gave up hope on the European Bee-eaters,only to get 4 of them high on the pylon wires about 1km from Kanakapura Road and 1km from the lake.
