Waiting at a village bus stop
Sitting and waiting at the Muthanallur bus stop for my friends to pick me up.(Why, is a long story.) A boy riding by, on a cycle on which he cannot reach the pedals. Old men slowly walking, puffing at beedies. A cavalcade of cars (including an Audi and a Thar) decorated with bows and flowers, rushing past, raising a cloud of dust, obviously on the way to a wedding nearby. The lady in the tea shop where I am sitting, going inside to her home to fill up the flask with fresh chai. A herd of cows mooing, herded by the cowherd. Several scooters bumping their way over the road. Crows and Mynas in the Rain Tree shading the newly constructed bus shelter.101124.
